Download PokerLens from the beta page. Move the app to your Applications folder — macOS requires this for notarized apps to update properly.
Open it. The first launch takes ~3 seconds while macOS verifies the signature. If macOS warns about an unidentified developer, right-click → Open.
On first launch, PokerLens asks for your PokerStars screen name. Type it exactly as it appears in the PokerStars lobby — capitalisation matters.
This is how the app knows which hands are yours vs. opponents.
PokerLens needs to know where PokerStars saves your hand history files. The default path on macOS is:
~/Library/Application Support/PokerStars.UK/HandHistory/<your-screen-name>/The folder picker in onboarding should auto-detect this. If not, browse to it manually.
Tip: Make sure hand history saving is enabled in PokerStars: Settings → Game Settings → Save My Hand History.
Open PokerStars, sit at a table. The HUD overlay appears automatically over the table — stat boxes position themselves at each seat.
You'll see VPIP, PFR, 3-Bet, AF, and hands played for each opponent. Coloured tags show player type: Nit LAG Maniac Station.
Click any opponent's stat box to open the detail panel. Hit "Reads" to get an AI analysis of that player's tendencies and how to exploit them.
After a session, check the Session Review tab for a full debrief — biggest leaks, positional stats, and the showdown matrix showing every hand your opponents have revealed.
The tracker is free forever. AI coach features use credits — 1 credit per question, 3 for deep analysis. Buy credits in Settings → Credits or via beta access (50 free credits for beta testers).
Credits never expire. No subscription needed.
Make sure PokerStars is the frontmost window. The HUD only shows when PokerStars is active. Also check your hand history folder is set correctly in Settings.
You need to play some hands first — the HUD reads from your hand history files, which PokerStars writes after each hand. Play 10-20 hands and the stats will populate.
Beta testers get 50 free credits. If you've used them all, buy more in Settings → Credits, or email ryan@pokerlens.io for more beta credits.
Go to Settings → Player & Sync. Re-enter your screen name and hand history folder. It's cached locally now so it won't forget again.
